Families & Adult Formation

Our St. George’s family is a blend of diverse ages from infants to our elder sages. We represent a variety of ethnicities, races and sexual orientations, opinions and beliefs that together spell a growing, thriving, enthusiastically loving community respectful of the dignity of every human being.

Formation happens through ongoing small groups, bible study and education for Ministry, community outreach and spiritual inreach and social events.

We offer something for everyone, including:

Sunday nursery and infant care
Offers a safe, nurturing environment while parents are in worship services.

Sunday school
Lifts, entertains, supports and excites the hearts, minds and spirits of our elementary and middle school students, as they learn to connect what they do on Sunday to what they do everyday.

Bible Study & Seekers
Newcomer gatherings explore what it means to be a member of St. George’s and the Episcopal Church, via the baptismal covenant. Confirmation classes offer opportunities for adult affirmation of faith while seekers and discovery classes provide a deeper experience of belonging. Bible study enlivens Scripture in community through both historical and contemporary lenses.

Small group ministries
Community members have found their lives spiritually enriched and their awareness of others heightened through volunteer service and outreach ministries, educational and socially relevant topics. All are welcome.

Prayer support networks
Regularly and consistently offer intercessions for the the church, the world, and the community, along with the sick or troubled, or those who have died. We also rejoice in prayers of thanksgiving for birth, baptism, marriage or other rites of passage.

Health Ministry Classes
Combines the ancient traditions of the church’s true calling to health, wholeness and healing in a hurting world. This intentional ministry is a living witness to the healing activity of God through the local congregation to the world. A medical equipment program stocks wheelchairs, walkers and other items for loan to those in need.
